What is Motley?

Motley is now blogging! As a new company we have been wanting to blog for a while now but we hadn't had time because of all the time it takes to start a new business. To start our blogging journey we will start our first post about the definition of what Motley is as a business and a word! 

Motley is currently an online business based company. We specialize in home goods and handmade items. Every piece is different from the last and different from the next. We have goals into growing our business into something huge, but we never want to forget the how we started we always want to keep our personal touches and ideas, no matter how big we will be. 

Motley's definition came after lots of brainstorming. We fell in love with this word because of the definition. We love it so much because it isn't a word you hear often and when you do you will remember us!

The actual definition, (says Dictionary.com) states this.... 

Motley

exhibiting great diversity of elements: a motley crowd. Synonyms: heterogenous, varied, diverse,mixed, assorted, sundry; incongruous, disparate, diversified, dissimilar, divergent. Antonyms:homogeneous, uniform, identical; similar, like.

being of different colors combined: a motley flower border. Synonyms: parti-colored, multicolored,variegated, polychromatic; pied, piebald, mottled, dappled. Antonyms: monochromatic; solid.

3.

wearing a parti-colored garment: a motley fool.

For us the word couldn't be more perfect because of the different color, patterns,  shapes and sizes we sell. Everything that goes into our business is such a variety and we never have an exact two pairs of anything, Motley fits...
